Under this scheme, the government invites applications from eligible students belonging to Other Backward Classes (OBC). Eligibility Criteria of OBC Scholarship:
n this OBC Scholarship Scheme, two types of categories are eligible to submit their applications. These two categories are Pre-Matric and Post-Matric. For both categories, eligibility criteria are different. The category-wise eligibility criteria details are as follows.
Pre-Matric Scholarship: Students who are studying in Class 10th or below fall under the Pre-Matric Scholarship category. This means students from Class 1 to Class 10 need to submit their applications under the Pre-Matric Scholarship category.
Post-Matric Scholarship: Students who are studying in Class 11th or above must apply under the Post-Matric Scholarship category. In other words, students pursuing Higher Secondary, Graduation, Post-Graduation, and other higher education programs should apply under this category.
Annual Family Income: Candidates whose annual family income is less than 2.50 Lakh are eligible for this scholarship scheme.
Note: Only those students who have a valid OBC certificate are eligible for this scholarship scheme. Without a valid caste certificate, the application will be rejected.

How to Apply for OBC Scholarship?
Candidates need to visit official national scholarship portal https://scholarships.gov.in for submission of online application this scholarship. One needs to follow below mentioned steps to apply online for this scholarship.
Step 1: Scroll down, go to Important Web Links section.
Step 2: Click on One-Time Registration link .
Step 3: A new webpage will be opened.
Step 4: Enter your details as required in the portal; and register yourself.
Step 5: After registration, Click on Online Application Form and Login.
Step 6: Enter all credentials and upload your documents as required in the portal.
Step 7: Finally click on “Submit” and take print out of your submitted application.
