Territorial Army has released an official notification for the recruitment of 209 Soldier (Clerk), Soldier (GD) & Soldier (Tradesman) Posts under 166 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home and Hearth) Assam. Interested and eligible candidates may appear in the recruitment rally as per the schedule mentioned below.
Territorial Army Recruitment 2024
1. Soldier (GD)
No of posts: 165 posts
Educational Qualification: Class 10th pass with 45% in aggregate and 33% in each subject.
2. Soldier (Clerk)
No of posts: 4 posts
Educational Qualification:
- House Keeper & Mess Keeper: Class 8th pass with minimum 33% in each subject.
- Other trades: Class 10th pass with minimum 33% in each subject.
3. Soldier (Tradesman)
No of posts: 40 posts

Educational Qualification: 10+2 pass with any stream with 60% marks in aggregate and minimum 50% in each subject. Securing 50% in English and Maths/ Accounts/ Book Keeping in Class 12th is mandatory.
Weight: Minimum 50 kgs.
Chest: 82 cms (77 cms unexpanded)
Selection Process:
The selection process of Territorial Army consists of following stages:
a) Physical Fitness Tests
# 01 Mile Run, Pull Ups, Balance & 9 Feet Ditch
# Trade Test for Tradesman
b) Medical Test

Candidates should bring in original along with two photocopies of each of the following :-
(a) Birth certificate issued by Registrar of Births and Deaths or 10″ Class Board certificate showing Date of Birth.
